The 6th Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo is scheduled to be held from September 6 to 7, 2023, in Dunhuang, Gansu Province, China. It will be co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, the National Radio and Television Administration, PRC, the CCPIT, and the Gansu Provincial People’s Government, under the guidance of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The Expo is the sole national high-end platform for cultural displays and exchanges approved by the state that centers on international cultural exchanges under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

This year’s event, on the theme of “Connecting with the World: Cultural Exchanges and Mutual Learning,” focuses on facilitating cooperation under the BRI, carrying forward the Dunhuang Culture, and fueling economic and social development. All these efforts are aimed at promoting cultural exchanges and cooperation among countries along the Silk Road, fostering closer people-to-people ties, and thereby strengthening the public support for the development of a human community with a shared future.

Main Activities: Opening ceremony and summit, cultural exhibitions, forums and conferences, performances, investment promotion, and Silk Road cultural tour.
